Getting the chance to drive a Sentra for a weekend was an enjoyable experience, as I quickly discovered that this stylish sedan provides amazing value in every aspect.

Having owned a minivan or SUV for almost 20 years, I had forgotten how much fun driving a sedan can be. I took the Sentra out to Lake Panorama and was impressed by how smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable the ride was. The drive was effortless, and the acceleration was surprisingly responsive whenever I needed to pass traffic.

All new vehicles come with safety features, and I’ve driven a few where those features can be overwhelming with too many warnings and flashing lights that distract from driving. However, the Sentra focuses on six critical safety technologies, including Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Rear Automatic Braking. It provided subtle alerts exactly when needed and left me in peace the rest of the time.

The Sentra has a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and plenty of rear legroom to fit kids and adults, offering ample space for passengers and cargo.

Another highlight was the fuel efficiency. During my short time with the Sentra, I averaged 29 MPG, a significant improvement from the 19 MPG I usually get. It’s easy to see why Car and Driver rates the Sentra as one of the most fuel-efficient cars on the market.

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is one of the least expensive new cars available. Its reliability, fuel efficiency, and stylish design make it a great sedan, especially for those looking for their first vehicle or needing a reliable commuter car for work.
