The All-New 2023 Lexus RX is more than a concept. It’s a statement that offers an uncompromising vision of style, luxury, and performance.

The Lexus RX has been one of the most popular luxury SUVs for the last 25 years, and the 2023 model is all-new from the ground up for the first time in seven years. Its design captivates with its sleeker profile, more powerful stance, and inviting driver-focused cabin.

The 2023 Lexus RX launches with four-distinct powertrains that feature various levels of performance and efficiency. The base model is the RX 350 and is the only non-hybrid in the mix. The RX 350h utilizes a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder that couples with a mild hybrid system. At 246 horsepower, the 350H trades power for efficiency and achieves an impressive 33 MPG in mix driving; AWD is standard. And pushing exhilaration to even greater heights, the first-ever RX F SPORT Performance introduces an advanced hybrid powertrain—and is the quickest RX ever. This is the next generation of luxury, as you’ve never experienced before. This is the new RX. The release of the 450h+ will happen in Q1 of 2023, while the other variants will arrive in the fall, and as such, Lexus is waiting to share further details.

Although the outgoing model was offered in both two- and three-row configurations, the 2023 RX has so far only been shown as a two-row, five-seat SUV. The 2023 RX’s interior design is more modern than the 2022 model, with textured fabric sections on the upper door panels, rich-looking ambient lighting, and open-pore wood trim on RX350 models. The RX500h F Sport Performance features more heavily bolstered front seats, black interior trim, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and aluminum pedals.

The most exciting update is the standard 14-inch center touch capacitive display that features the latest Lexus interface software. The system is straightforward and tablet-like, a sharp departure from other Lexus models. Lexus Safety System 3.0+ is standard and includes several assist features that are optional in other models, such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and a full suite of accident mitigation features.

Overall, the 2023 Lexus RX packages practicality and luxury together in an efficient and reliable package and is a worthy successor to Lexus’s best-selling model.
